Matt Studio Manager
Having graduated from Portsmouth University with a 1st class honors degree in Communication Design, Matt went on to begin his career at Glow Marketing in Wickham as a web & graphic designer. With a strong background in graphic design, and a lot of experience in print, marketing and CSS programming behind him, Matt now heads up the do1 team as studio manager, ensuring client expectations are exceeded and output quality stays consistently high.
In his spare time Matt enjoys going to the gym, supporting Manchester United and worshipping all things American, including his girlfriend.
Kris Web Developer
There is nothing this programmer can’t handle. Kris previously worked in native Poland before moving to England and joining do1 as its first employee. Kris loves to take on challenging projects and has a real appetite for learning. He can often be found in the office late at night yelling “I am so genius!” towards completion of particularly tough projects.
When not in the office (which is rare!), Kris likes to play with his HDR camera, and loves cars, and is still patiently waiting for Ed to buy him a Porsche Cayman (white with red interior).
Jasper Web Developer
Passionate about web standards, and borderline obsessive about beautiful code, Jasper is a perfectionist of his craft. Having previously worked at a large HR company in Salisbury, Jasper brings a wealth of skills to do1. He is a fountain of knowledge for all things Mac and shares many useful resources and links that keep us up to date.
Jasper enjoys being clawed to death by the small army of kittens and rabbits he looks after with his girlfriend, and is a keen photographer and blogger, with his own regularly updated blog.
Ben Web Designer
The youngest of the team, Ben is a creative powerhouse who is always up for trying new things and experimenting with design. On top of his strong, natural design skills, he is also a keen SEO and CSS guru. Before joining do1, Ben worked for Portsmouth City Council who wrote him a reference so good that we were convinced some backhand deals had gone on.
Ben is a Portsmouth FC supporter and enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and playing drums.
James Web Designer
Having completed work experience at rival design company Something Interesting, and then later with do1, we quickly spotted James’ raw talent and didn’t hesitate to offer him a job before he even finished his studies. James went on to achieve a 1st class honours degree in Communication Design from Portsmouth University and joined do1 straight after. On top of producing pixel perfect designs, James’ skillset also covers photography, and the majority of the photos within this website are his own work.
When not copy-pasting from 123-reg.com, James enjoys squash, sailing and visiting his girlfriend in Guernsey.
Malcolm Financial Controller
If you get an e-mail from this man, the chances are you owe us money. Malcolm is a qualified technical illustrator with a long career in graphic design, having been studio manager at a large financial company and a small publishing company. His responsibilities for do1 are all things financial, from invoicing and remittance to payroll and VAT returns.
Whenever he gets the chance, Malcolm loves a bit of DIY, random pointless trips to Ikea, and spending time with his wife.
Ed Director
With a 2:1 degree in Music Business, Ed is perfectly qualified to run a web design and development company. His main responsibilities are the marketing and direction of do1, and trying to keep his OCD tendencies under control. Ed is also a shareholder in privately held technology companies The HIPPOS Network Ltd and Just Develop It Ltd, and co-owns and runs the popular InsanelyMac website.
When not in front of a Mac, Ed loves hanging out with his crazy mates and spending time with his family.
